Amal Journey- Positive Reflection

I would like to start this reflection with my story before joining Amal Academy.
I graduated in Computer Systems Engineering and during 2020 I went to Karachi for job hunting. With positive energy, I went to different organizations to drop my cv but seems like the COVID situation had a very bad impact and due to this many organizations were not even accepting my cv and the organizations that accepted my cv had very negative response. I was deeply depressed with this response.
That’s when actually my brother insisted me join Amal Academy with this Fellowship program. I filled out my application by total honesty and I was selected for Interview. That is when I saw the main thing of Amal Academy and that was “Positivity” and that is what I actually wanted, to come out of my depression. Interviewer was very friendly and I had an interview just like I was in friendly conversation with somebody. After Interview, the activity center and orientation happened and seems like everything was filled with positive energy and that actually energized me.
After that, the fellowship started and my first session with Sir Asfandyar and PA Mam Fatima was very great. I was surprised that I was assigned as a group leader for learning group tasks for week 1 and 2, I don’t know if it was just random selection or it was on purpose but anyway this made a positive impact on myself. My personality totally changed when in group we had these discussions, sharing of thoughts and some fun too.

With every session, I saw this change in myself as I was being more talkative and was coming out of my Introvert personality. That’s when this journey of Mega project started, where actually we had to come out of our comfort zone and do something to serve humanity.
My Mega circle group is the one I always wanted as there are multi talented members in our group. Our Group Leader always insisted us to take initiative, respected our thoughts and ideas and motivate us to lead the Project work each week. During Edhi donation campaign, I learned alot from my group that how to insist and convince people with the purpose.
Now we are actually working on our Mega project, which is to collect used clothes and donate it to underprivileged people and we are going with weekly targets and Alhamdulillah we are on track.
Conclusion:
This complete Fellowship journey had a very positive impact on my life and it teach me what I actually expected and also what I did not expected(like leadership, teamwork, networking, time management, kindness etc.). This journey is really unforgettable as I was connected to this journey since Day 1 and sooner this journey is coming to an end but thanks to it that I discovered true myself. This Fellowship is really a gift and I would insist anyone who is about to graduate or is graduated should take advantage of this.
